ఈలాగున సౌలు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఏలుటకు అధి కారము నొందినవాడై నఖముఖాల వారి శత్రువులైన మాయాబీయులతోను అమ్మోనీయులతోను ఎదోమీ యులతోను సోబాదేశపు రాజులతోను ఫిలిష్తీయులతోను యుద్ధము చేసెను. ఎవరిమీదికి అతడు పోయెనో వారి నందరిని ఓడించెను.
