ఆ మనుష్యుడు తానును అతని ఉపపత్నియు అతని దాసుడును వెళ్ల లేచినప్పుడు ఆ చిన్నదాని తండ్రియగు అతని మామ ఇదిగో ప్రొద్దు గ్రుంకుటకు సమీపమాయెను, నీవు దయచేసి యీ రాత్రి యిక్కడ ఉండుము, ఇదిగో ప్రొద్దు గ్రుంకుచున్నది, సంతోషించి యిక్కడ రాత్రి గడుపుము, రేపు నీ గుడారమునకు వెళ్లుటకు నీవు వేకువనే లేచి నీ త్రోవను పోవచ్చునని అతనితో చెప్పినను

Then when the man, with his concubine and his servant, got up to leave, his father-in-law, the girl-s father, said, "Now look, it-s almost evening. Spend the night here; the day is nearly over. Stay and enjoy yourself. Early tomorrow morning you can get up and be on your way home."

जब वह पुरूष अपनी सुरैतिन और सेवक समेत विदा होने को उठा, तब उसके ससुर अर्थात् स्त्री के पिता ने उस से कहा, देख दिन तो ढला चला है, और सांझ होने पर है; इसलिये तुम लोग रात भर टिके रहो। देख, दिन तो डूबने पर है; सो यहीं आनन्द करता हुआ रात बिता, और बिहान को सवेरे उठकर अपना मार्ग लेना, और अपने डेरे को चले जाना।

പിന്നെ അവനും അവന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയും ബാല്യക്കാരനും എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോള് യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പനായ അവന്റെ അമ്മാവിയപ്പന് അവനോടുഇതാ, നേരം അസ്തമിപ്പാറായി, ഈ രാത്രിയും താമസിക്ക; നേരം വൈകിയല്ലോ; രാപാര്ത്തു സുഖിക്ക; നാളെ അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಊಳಿಗದ ವನೂ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಹೆಂಗಸಿನ ತಂದೆ ಯಾದ ಅವನ ಮಾವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಹೊತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿ ಸಂಜೆಯಾಯಿತು; ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನೀನು ದಯ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇರು; ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಣುಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂತು; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೋಗ ಬಹುದು ಅಂದನು.

And when the man rose up to depart, he and his concubine and his servant, his father-in-law, the damsels father, said unto him, "Behold, now the day draweth toward evening. I pray you tarry all night. Behold, the day groweth to an end. Lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and tomorrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home."
