യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് മാനോഹയോടുനീ എന്നെ താമസിപ്പിച്ചാലും ഞാന് നിന്റെ ആഹാരം കഴിക്കയില്ല; ഒരു ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്കുമെങ്കില് അതു യഹോവേക്കു കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന് എന്നു മാനോഹ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല.

ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಮಾನೋಹನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವ ದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
