అప్పుడు యెహోవా యెహోషువతో ఇట్లనెను నీవు చేతపట్టు కొనిన యీటెను హాయి వైపుగా చాపుము, పట్టణమును నీ చేతి కప్పగింతును, అంతట యెహోషువ తన చేతనున్న యీటెను ఆ పట్టణమువైపు చాపెను.

ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಚಾಚು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಚಾಚಿದನು.
