గిబియోనీయులు మన్యములలో నివసించు అమోరీయుల రాజులందరు కూడి మా మీదికి దండెత్తి వచ్చియున్నారు గనుక, నీ దాసులను చెయ్యి విడువక త్వరగా మాయొద్దకు వచ్చి మాకు సహాయముచేసి మమ్మును రక్షించుమని గిల్గాలులో దిగియున్న పాళెములో యెహోషువకు వర్తమానము పంపగా

तक गिबोन के निवासियों ने गिलगाल की छावनी में यहोशू के पास यों कहला भेजा, कि अपने दासों की ओर से तू अपना हाथ न हटाना; शीघ्र हमारे पास आकर हमें बचा ले, और हमारी सहायता कर; क्योंकि पहाड़ पर रहनेवाले एमोरियों के सब राजा हमारे विरूद्ध इकट्ठे हए हैं।

அப்பொழுது கிபியோனின் மனுஷர் கில்காலிலிருக்கிற பாளயத்துக்கு யோசுவாவினிடத்தில் ஆளனுப்பி: உமது அடியாரைக் கைவிடாமல், சீக்கிரமாய் எங்களிடத்தில் வந்து, எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களுக்குத் துணைசெய்யும்; பர்வதங்களிலே குடியிருக்கிற எமோரியரின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாரும் எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூடினார்கள் என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னார்கள்.

അപ്പോള് ഗിബെയോന്യര് ഗില്ഗാലില് പാളയത്തിലേക്കു യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചുഅടിയങ്ങളെ കൈവിടാതെ വേഗം ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന അമോര്യ്യരാജാക്കന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടു ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

ಆಗ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನ ಜನರು--ಪರ್ವತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡದೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಳೆಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
