And the answer will be: "It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, the covenant he made with them when he brought them out of Egypt.

तब लोग यह उत्तर देंगे, कि उनके पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने जो वाचा उनके साथ मि देश से निकालने के समय बान्धी थी उसको उन्हों ने तोड़ा है।

அதற்கு: அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினபோது, அவர்களோடே பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்கள் விட்டுப்போய்,

തങ്ങള്‍ അറികയോ തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നിയമിച്ചുകിട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ അവര്‍ ചെന്നു സേവിക്കയും നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

ಆಗ ಜನರು--ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತರುವಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟು,

Then men shall say, `Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt;
