ఏలయనగా నియమింపబడిన దినము వచ్చుచున్నది, కొలిమి కాలునట్లు అది కాలును; గర్విష్ఠులందరును దుర్మార్గులందరును కొయ్యకాలువలె ఉందురు, వారిలో ఒకనికి వేరైనను చిగురైనను లేకుండ, రాబోవు దినము అందరిని కాల్చివేయునని సైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

ಇಗೋ, ಆ ದಿನವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದು ಒಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಉರಿಯುವದು; ಆಗ ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೌದು, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವ ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತಿರುವರು; ಬರುವ ಆ ದಿನವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವದು; ಬೇರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕೊಂಬೆ ಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಡದು ಎಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
