నీ రాజ్యములో ఒక మనుష్యుడున్నాడు. అతడు పరిశుద్ధ దేవతల ఆత్మగలవాడు; నీ తండ్రికాలములో అతడు దైవజ్ఞానమువంటి జ్ఞానమును బుద్ధియు తెలివియు గలవాడై యుండుట నీ తండ్రి కనుగొనెను గనుక నీ తండ్రియైన రాజగు నెబుకద్నెజరు శకున గాండ్రకును గారడీవిద్యగల వారికిని కల్దీయులకును జ్యోతిష్యులకును పైయధిపతిగా అతని నియమించెను.

Athadu parishuddha dhevathala aatmagalavaadu; nee thandrikaalamulo athadu daivagnaanamuvanti gnaanamunu buddhiyu teliviyu galavaadai yunduta nee thandri kanugonenu ganuka nee thandriyaina raajagu nebukadnejaru shakuna gaandrakunu gaaradeevidyagala vaarikini kaldeeyulakunu jyothishyulakunu pai yadhipathigaa athani niyaminchenu.

ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಆತ್ಮವುಳ್ಳ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ದೇವ ರುಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದವು. ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರ ಅರಸನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮಂತ್ರಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರಿಗೂ ಶಕುನಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.

And in the days of thy father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him whom King Nebuchadnezzar thy father -- the king, I say, thy father -- made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.
