వారికిచ్చెదనని నేను ప్రమాణ పూర్వకముగా చెప్పిన దేశములోనికి నేను వారిని రప్పించిన తరువాత, ఎత్తయిన యొక కొండనేగాని, దట్టమైన యొక వృక్షమునేగాని తాము చూచినప్పుడెల్లను బలులు అర్పించుచు, అర్పణలను అర్పించుచు, అక్కడ పరిమళ ధూపము ప్రతిష్ఠించుచు, పానార్పణములు చేయుచు నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి.

When I brought them into the land I had sworn to give them and they saw any high hill or any leafy tree, there they offered their sacrifices, made offerings that provoked me to anger, presented their fragrant incense and poured out their drink offerings.

அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்திலே நான் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கப்பண்ணினபின்பு, அவர்கள் உயர்ந்த ஒரு மேட்டையும் தழைத்த ஒரு விருட்சத்தையும் எங்கெங்கே கண்டார்களோ, அங்கங்கே தங்கள் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, அவ்விடங்களிலெல்லாம் எனக்கு எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்குகிற தங்கள் காணிக்கைகளைப் படைத்து, சுகந்த வாசனையான தங்கள் தூபங்களைக் காட்டி, தங்கள் பானபலிகளை வார்த்தார்கள்.

അവര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു ഞാന് കൈ ഉയര്ത്തി സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു ഞാന് അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നശേഷം അവര്ഉയര്ന്ന എല്ലാകുന്നും തഴെച്ച സകലവൃക്ഷവും നോക്കി, അവിടെ ഹനനബലികളെ അര്പ്പിക്കയും കോപ ഹേതുകമായ വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കയും സൌരഭ്യവാസന നിവേദിക്കയും പാനിയബലികളെ പകരുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ನಾನು ಕೈ ಎತ್ತಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗಾತ್ರವಾದ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ರೇಗಿಸುವ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಸುವಾಸನೆ ಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಪಾನದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುರಿದರು.

For when I had brought them into the land for which I lifted up Mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering. There also they made their sweet savor, and poured out there their drink offerings.
