"Say to them,`This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Will it thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All its new growth will wither. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by the roots.

सो तू यह कह, कि प्रभु यहोवा यों पूछता है, क्या वह फूले फलेगी? क्या वह उसको जड़ से न उखाड़ेगा, और उसके फलों को न झाड़ डालेगा कि वह अपनी सब हरी नई पत्तियों समेत सूख जाए? इसे जड़ से उखाड़ने के लिये अधिक बल और बहुत से मनुष्यों की आवश्यकता न होगी।

இது செழிக்குமா? இது பட்டுப்போகத்தக்கதாய் ஒருவன் இதின் வேர்களைப் பிடுங்காமலும், இதின் கனியை வெட்டாமலும் இருப்பானோ? துளிர்த்த எல்லா இலைகளோடும் இது பட்டுப்போகும்; இதை வேரோடே பிடுங்கும்படி ஒருவன் பலத்த புயத்தோடும் திரண்ட ஜனத்தோடும் வரத்தேவையில்லை.

ഇതു സാധിക്കുമോ? അതു വാടിപ്പോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം, അതിന്റെ തളിര്ത്ത ഇലകളൊക്കെയും വാടിപ്പോകത്തക്കവണ്ണം തന്നേ, അവന് അതിന്റെ വേരുകളെ മാന്തുകയും കായി പറിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്കില്ലയോ? അതിനെ വേരോടെ പിഴുതുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു വലിയ ബലമോ വളരെ ജനമോ ആവശ്യമില്ല.

ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ -- ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ರುವದೋ? ಆ ಹದ್ದು ಅದರ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಅದರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಅದು ಒಣಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅದರ ಮೊಳಕೆಯ ಎಲೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಣಗಿಹೋದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಬೇರು ಸಹಿತ ಕೀಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮಹಾಬಲವಾಗಲೀ ಅಥವಾ ಬಹಳ ಜನರಾಗಲೀ ಇರಬೇಕು.

Say thou, `Thus saith the Lord GOD: Shall it prosper? Shall he not pull up the roots thereof and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? It shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.
